If Things Aren't Perfect, Act Like They Are, Until They Are

Admitting that I'm a, painfully shy, homebody, was the first step that I had to take towards not being one. It helps if I practice being around people that I don't know, and even if I get social anxiety, I can act like I don't have social anxiety. It takes work, but I'm working on it. I took a few improv classes taught by, professional actor, Charlie Holliday, in Rancho Cordova, California. (Rest in peace Charlie. I'm very glad I got to spend time with you & Holly). Charlie, and his wife Holly, opened their home to me & my children. I learned so much, about so many gracious things- from both of them. I will be forever grateful that Charlie & Holly were part of my life, during the most trying times of my life. Losing Yourself, In A Book

My children, and I, were at a bookstore, and one of my kids came up to me with a book - called "Why Paint Cats". My son showed me one of the pictures in that book, and it was a picture of Charlie Chaplin painted on a cat. Then he, along with his brother and sister - walked off. Leaving me alone, as I laughed out loud, in the middle of the store.

Coping with PTSD

I've found that there are many self help books, on the subject of PTSD. It takes a great deal of effort to put coping skills into a day-to-day, routine, but it is definitely worth the effort, at least that is what I have found to be true.
